Alain BOIX

ESMOD Lyon director / Art director / Fashion designer

Alain graduates from ESMOD in 1986 and takes off for Japan as professor of design at ESMOD Tokyo, where he also works with Junko Shimada doing trend illustrations for Gap Japan Magazine.

In 1989 he joins the Japanese Sanei International group in their style section, Private Label, and goes on to create his own label in Japan, « Alain Boix » women’s luxury ready to wear, in 1990.

In 1994 he collaborates as designer with ‘‘Malhia Tissages d’Art Paris” for the collections Couture Chanel, Dior, Nina Ricci, Givenchy, Paco Rabanne….. In 1997 he meets the choreographers Stephanie Aubin, Partrice Barthès and Fabrice Ramalingom for whom he creates dance costumes for various performances. In 2000 he moves to Luxembourg as artistic director of the Fernando Guzman Luxembourg office to create European police uniforms. In 2003 he returns to ESMOD International as director of ESMOD Lyon.
